Today is our showcase of Everything Christmas Stencils 360°! This set contains one circular 8″ stencil which is designed to work with our Stencils 360° tool. The holiday season is approaching and what better cards to make other than HOLIDAY GREETING CARDS – love, love, love!

Everything Christmas Stencils 360°

This stencil helps you create the most beautiful festive backgrounds with only a few turns. You can easily apply different colors to the different elements on the stencil, without the need for masking! Great for mass producing!

For this card, I used the a 7″ x 7″ canvas and centre it on my Stencils 360° tool with my 7″ x 7″ Paper Positioner. I wanted to leave a portion of my canvas for my sentiment therefore I masked off a portion of my paper diagonally all the way across before I started inking.

This stencil is designed to be rotated at 60°, represented by the 2 circles at the top of the stencil. I used a selection of Catherine Pooler inks, inking just one color on every turn. After 5 turns, this is what I achieved. Multi-colored stenciled background doesn’t get any easier then that!

I trimmed down my panel to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ and stamped out a sentiment from Magical Christmas Sentiments diagonally across my panel. I adhered that to an A2 size note card of Teal Sapphire – Heavyweight Premium Cardstock, one of the newest colors from the Spectrum Collection, leaving an 1/8″ wide border.

I added some turquoise embellishment as a a finishing touch.

Karen made a 1:1 card which showcased the entire stencil design. I love the non-traditional color palette which is very refreshing.

She gold heat embossed one of the scripty sentiments from Magical Christmas Sentiments on vellum, fussy cut it and adhered in the centre of the card. I love how she omitted some of the elements during inking to create a card that is truly unique! Finally she scattered some gems to finish off her card.

I also made a fun shaker card where I sandwiched the flap of a cello bag in a note card in Christmas Tree. I stenciled two backgrounds with the Everything Christmas Stencils 360°, one with lots of colors and another with just a single color. I put both cards back-to-back into the clear pocket and added in my gems and shaker elements before adhering the flap in between the note card’s opened-end. This shaker is relatively flat and compact for mailing.

The sentiment is also from Magical Christmas Sentiments!

Here’s a shot of the opened panel. I added a piece of white cardstock on my notecard where I can write my messages.

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s inspirations! We will continue to have lots of wonderful products and projects to showcase this week so don’t forget to visit us again tomorrow! Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a lovely day!

Abstract Butterfly Stencils 360°TM

If you are new to our innovative Stencils 360°TM, please head over to our YouTube channel and watch our Intro Video about this awesome tool!

From the image above, you can see there’re 4 circles as the Alignment Marker. Therefore, to achieve its intended design, follow these 3 simple steps:

It’s that simple! But of course, it can be fun to break the rules and explore new looks! And that’s the best thing about this tool! You can achieve so many different looks with just ONE single stencil!

Let’s take a look at what I mean in the next two cards!

Karen ink blended only the larger butterfly on the stencil and rotated her stencil by 60° each time (jumping 2 intervals on the ‘circle’ scale instead of 4). By doing this, she ended up with six butterflies in an array of colors after one full turn!

I love that she used a large canvas and then split it into two; and voilà, she got herself 2 cards! The two sentiments are from the Let’s Meet IRL stamp set.

Next we have Candice’s card. Instead of inking up both butterflies on the stencil, she also chose to ink up the larger butterfly of the two. She used a turning interval of 60° (again jumping 2 cirlces in each turn). I absolutely love the rainbow hue on this card! Notice how the colors blended on her note card also go seamlessly with these pretty butterflies!

She added matching-color gems to finished off her card together with a Happy Birthday sentiment from the Enchanting Paris stamp set.

Finally we have my card! I wanted to show you what it would look like if you did follow the Alignment Marker and rotate your stencil at 120° intervals (ie. jumping 4 intervals each time as shown in my images at the top). And this is what you’d get!

I used two different ink colors from the Catherine Pooler collections, namely Juniper Mist and Green Tea for my blending. I wanted to create a cut-it-up look on my card, so I cut my card into 3 long vertical sections.

I adhered them onto our Navy Blazer cardstock and added a belly band using our Elegant Backwash – Premium Fine Paper, and finished it off with an outline butterfly (die cut from the Butterfly Emergence 2 in 1 Layered Dies) in Vintage Beetle to go with my stenciled butterflies.

The sentiment “Handmade With Love” was from the Magical Christmas Sentiment stamp set which I white heat embossed onto the Grand Piano cardstock.

That concludes our inspirations for today! If you haven’t done so, head over to our Day 1 post and participate in our BLOG + IG GIVEAWAYS! You have until TONIGHT 9:00pm PST to enter. Don’t miss your chances! Winners will be announced on our Blog and on Instagram tomorrow 16 Oct.

Hearts Bouquet Stencils 360°

Card Duos Featuring the Hearts Bouquet Stencils 360°

Hello crafty friends! Before we get into today’s cards, I’d like to announce that our very first Penguin Palace Challenge will be happening TOMORROW! We’re launching a brand new Blog in which all of our future Challenges will be hosted. Play along in this challenge for a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate! Stay tuned for more details!

Today I have for you a new video, featuring the new Hearts Bouquet stencil from our latest release!

This stencil is so much fun to play with. You can choose different rotations to create different looks for your cards. For today, I made a card duo using one 7 1/2″ x 7 1/2″ large canvas cut from the Essentials – Smooth Bright White 100lb. Heavy Weight Cardstock.

I used a turning interval of 30° for my design. For my first round of inking, I used Speckled Egg on the irregular shaped cluster of hearts and Tattered Rose on the big outlined heart while jumping from one solid circle to the next. Then I used Blueprint Sketch on my second next round of inking while jumping from one outlined circle to the next.

After completing the artwork, I used the small dotted rectangle from the Cinematic Shadow Box dies, to cut my canvas into 2 cards. The heat embossed sentiments are from Heartfelt Notes. I used Navy Blazer and Vintage Beetle colored cardstock for my backing panels.

Watch my step-by-step video tutorial over on our YouTube Channel!

I hope you like these inspirations. Hope you’ll try them out for yourself! Don’t forget to tag your projects using #penguinpalaceprojects when uploading them onto social media!

Spring 2021 Sneak Peek - Day 5

Spring 2021 New Release – Sneak Peek Day 5

Spring 2021 New Release Schedule

Hi crafty friends! It’s already Day 5 of Sneak Peeks! I love geometric patterns. For today, I made a clean and simple card with a rainbow hue geometric background.

To make this stenciled background, I used the new Hearts Bouquet Stencil 360°TM with our Stencils 360°TM tool. You’ll be amazed on how easy it is to create this overlay of hearts in rainbow hues! While inking, I made references to the “15° intervals” scale on the Base of the tool, basically jumping from Square to Square!

I had a total of 8 colors that I wanted to used and these colors repeat themselves twice in this pattern. To avoid having to clean my stencil on every 15° turn before changing ink color, I inked up all 3 of the same colored hearts, clean my stencil, and moved on to my next color.

To give some border detail to the card, I used the largest dies from Dots Meet Dashes Large Rectangles Overlays and the Dots Meet Dashes Small Rectangles Overlays to cut out a frame with our new Pumpkin Field cardstock. Then I added an image and sentiment from our new stamp set, Aloha Hawaii. I thought this image really goes well with the burst of colors in the background!

Here’s a short video on how I made this card. You can watch it below or over on our YouTube Channel.

This card is super fun and easy to make, I hope you’ll try it out! Be sure to come back tomorrow for our Sneak Peeks wrap up! Reveal & Inspiration Chapter + Giveaways starts next Monday. And get ready to Pre-Order period which starts next Monday as well! Stay tuned for the reveal of the Free Gift with purchases 80CAD+ (or ~65USD+)!

Happy crafting everyone!
