New Video – Intro to Rainbows & Butterflies Stencils 360°

Hello everyone! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Today I have for you a new video on our YouTube Channel, featuring the new Rainbows & Butterflies Stencils 360°TM.

Since we are having our first ever Penguin Palace Challenge this month, I have created a card which is based on this month’s challenge color palette inspiration! Head to ppstampschallenge.blog for more details on this challenge!

For my card, I used the Rainbows & Butterflies Stencils 360°TM for the background. I blended just ONE color on each of my 60 degree rotations. I used a combination of Distress oxide inks including Shaded Lilac, Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar, Squeezed Lemonade, Worn Lipstick, and Picked Raspberry to create this soft pastel palette.

I used our Never Lose Hope stand-alone die and cut out 3 pieces using Cotton Candy – Heavyweight Premium Cardstock and stacked them together to create some depth. I used the shadow die on the blended background to create a little window to house the sentiment, and used the same color cardstock for my back panel. I really love the tone-on-tone effect.

I had so much fun creating this card. Watch my step-by-step video over on our YouTube Channel!

I really hope you enjoy today’s inspiration! Don’t forget that this month’s challenge runs until May 13th at 11:59 PDT. We’ll select a winner to receive a $25 CAD Gift Certificate to ppstamps.com which will be announced on May 15th at the beginning of our next challenge! What are you waiting for? Upload your creations onto our challenge blog and share your creations onto social media using hashtag #penguinpalaceprojects!

A Colorful Interactive Friendship Card by Ashley!

Hello crafty friends! Ashley is back today to share a beautiful friendship card featuring the My BFF stamps set and coordinating Penguin Perfect Cuts! Check out her full video tutorial HERE!

I love the pinkish inked background that Ashley had created. She used Distress Oxide inks in Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar, with a cloudy stencil. For the hillside grassy fields, she used Distress Oxide inks in Lucky Clover and Twisted Citron, together with a grassy stencil. She also used the largest die from the Dots Meets Dashes Large Rectangle Overlays stand-alone die for the boarder detail.

All of the images are from the My BFF stamp set, and were colored with Copic markers. See how some of the images from the set can be used as clouds as well as leaf clusters? I can’t get enough of these cute smiley faces!

I love that she added a wavy slider channel for the kitty in the trolley to glide across the hillside!

She stamped out the sentiment “Thank you for being a great friend” from the set in Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Finally she splattered some sequins to add some extra sparkle to this dreamy scene!

Thank you so much Ashley! This scene is just full of fun and happiness!

A Lovely Encouragement Card by Anja!

Hi friends! Anja has made a super sweet encouragement card for us all! This positive energy is absolutely something we all need during these times!

She used the Classic Diamonds Backdrop stand-alone die for her background, and added boarder details with the largest die from the the Dots Meet Dashes Large Rectangle Overlays Stand Alone die set. She added a white back panel underneath for a white on white effect which gives it a nice clean look!

She then die cut a smaller panel from the Dots Meet Dashes Small Rectangle Overlays. To decorate this panel, she used the rainbow image from the My BFF stamp set, and stamp it multiple times with VersaMark ink and white heat embossed them – such a cool idea! She also did the same thing using the butterfly stamp from the set.

I love the vibrant colors she used on her images and the light yellow really gives it a refreshing feel!

She added a little black and white trimming to give it a nice detail. And finally adhered this panel to the diamond backdrop with foam tape for some added dimension!

Thank you so much Anja! These cute rainbows sure put smiles on our faces!

Anja’s Rainbow Friendship Card!

Hi guys! Anja is back today with her new card to share! Her card features the new background die Classic Diamonds Backdrop and My BFF stamps and its coordinating Penguin Perfect Cuts.

With this new backdrop die, she cut out an A2 size panel. She then ink blended a white card base using Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Inks. This made a beautiful rainbow hue for the background!

She added some cute images from the My BFF stamp set across the middle portion. I love how she left the bottom part of the card base totally white for a bold contrast. Her sentiment “Thank You For Being A Great Friend” was stamped on the green patterned paper.

Thank you so much Anja! I love this neat and simple card!
