Sounding Joy stamp set and Coordinating Dies

Create a charming and harmonious scene featuring this adorable quartet + snowman playing the triangle! A selection of snow covered street furnitures help to create the most festive and peaceful atmosphere.

To showcase all of the adorable images from this stamp set, I used the Cinematic Shadow Box die to set the scene. I really love the layers and depth that you can achieve with this die. I ink blended Distress Oxides in Black Soot, Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, and Cracked Pistachio on my back panel. I added a spritz of water and splash of white paint for the added dimension.

All of the characters were colored using Copics, and I simply scattered the images onto the four tabs of my shadow box! For the music notes, I glued them onto pieces of acetate before adhering them to the tabs for a floating effect.

Abstract Blossom Stencils 360°

An abstract floral design like this one provides endless possibilities!  Perfect for any occasion, this stencil design is large enough for creating a 4 for 1 design with a 7 1/2” x 7 1/2” canvas.  You’ll be mesmerized by the stunning overlays with just a few turns of the stencil.

In this example, I used a 7 1/2″ canvas and rotated the stencil at 30° intervals. To ink blend, I used Spun Sugar and Tattered Rose Distress Oxides. After just two turns, this gorgeous floral design appeared! The stencil is made from transparent mylar which allows easy visualization throughout the inking process.

The dimension that this stencil gives is incredible considering the very little time needed to complete the ink blending! I cut my canvas into quarters and added sentiments from Heartfelt Notes and Words From the Heart Chapter 2 to complete my cards.

For my next card, I rotated my stencil at 15° intervals, creating even more overlays for my patterns.

For this duo, I cut my large canvas into halves, and then further cut each half into four equal panels. I then adhered them onto a slimline back panels cut from Cotton Candy cardstock. The sentiments were from the So Blessed stamp set.

Flurry Snowflakes Stencils 360°

A flurry snowflakes background is definitely one of the most festive and versatile background you can create for holiday cards!  This set comes with two 6” stencils which you can use separately or together.  Spin these stencils at different angles to create your favourite snowflake wreath!

These completed snowflake wreaths measure approximately 4″ in diameter.

Candice created for us a circular greeting card. She used both stencils together and rotated both at 60° intervals.

She kept a traditional snowflakes color palette and added a darker color back panel for a nice contrast. She also scattered gems of different designs to complete her card.

For my two examples, I went for more non-traditional color palettes. I used a few pastel toned Distressed Oxide for ink blending. I also used the same angle of rotation as per Candice’s card. I used a circle die on my design, and then cut out a slightly larger circle on Vintage Beetle Cardstock to create a circular negative space.

For my last card, I went with a shaker design in which I simply used acetate as my shaker pocket. This time I chose Shaded Lilac and Spun Sugar for ink blending. The stamped image in the middle is from Magical Christmas Sentiments.

I hope you enjoyed today’s showcases and inspirations. Leave a comment below before you go and let me know what you think! And be sure to come back tomorrow for more Product Previews and Giveaways!

mandala stencils 360

A Beautiful Mandala Design by Candice!

Hope you all are having a wonderful week!

Candice created a fun mandala background using the Mandalas Bundle Stencils 360° and colors inspired by our Challenge #16 summer color palette!

I love how she mixed and match the stencils in the set to create these gorgeous overlays!

She cut the panel down into a square and adhered it to a pink card base. Next, she stamped and die-cut a sentiment from the Inseparable stamp set and adhered it to the center of the mandala.

She also added a few colorful jewel embellishments to finish off the card.

Gorgeous Floral Cards with Guest Designer Ilda!

I hope you all had a great weekend! Today we’re super excited to have our talented Guest Designer, Ilda Dias sharing a duo of floral cards with us!

Ilda‘s cards features the Stencils 360° tool and the latest Centerpiece Stencils 360°. She started the inking process on a large canvas. She chose to use a different color on each of the flower cut outs on the stencil.

The final design is achieved in 3 rounds of inking (by rotating the stencil to every 4th circle on the scale, twice). This large canvas allows her to easily create two cards, an A2 size and a 5×5 square card, just by slicing it down near the middle!

This one below is the A2 size card. I just love the rainbow hue that she blended.

Below is the 5×5” square card. I love how the beautiful colors contrasting against the crisp black trims and sentiments!

All the sentiments are created using the So Blessed – stamp set and penguin perfect cuts.

Thank you so much Ilda for Guest Designing for us today! These cards are absolutely gorgeous!

For this video hop I did a tutorial on the new Mandalas Bundle Stencils 360°. If you’re new to the Stencils 360° I strongly encourage you to watch this video (besides our Intro video) as it covers a lot of the basics of the tool. This Mandalas Bundle is super versatile as you can mix and match the stencils in the set to create numerous beautiful designs. Here’s a look at my cards!

For my first card, I layered one of the 8” stencil with the 6” transparent stencil in the set. The large stencil was rotated at 45 deg intervals (simply jumping along the scale of triangles). The word ‘Bravo’ was from the Congratulations stamp set.

For my second card, I used basically the same ink colors from Catherine Pooler but this time on a different 8” stencil. I paired it with another 4” transparent stencil for finishing the design in the center. The sentiment ‘Sending Warm Hugs’ is from Unity and Friendship Quotes. I really love how these couple of cards turned out with the rainbow hue!

For my next card I used the third 8” stencil from the set and rotated it at 45deg intervals. I applied different colors on each of the element on the stencil to easily create this multi-colors look without having to do any masking. I white heat embossed the scripty ‘Thank You’ (from So Blessed) on our Grand Piano Heavyweight Premium cardstock. I used Teal Sapphire for my back panel and added some cardstock strips diagonally to add more interest to my card.

Next I used the 6” stencil from the set and rotated it at 30 deg intervals (jumping from circle to circle). I then stencilled on some some glacier paste on a 4” clear stencil for the extra shine. I die cut a slightly larger circle in Grape Macaron and inlay that into a square panel of Navy Blazer Heavyweight Premium cardstock on which I die cut the same size circle. The sentiment is from the So Blessed stamp set.

Lastly for this circular card, I used the same 6” stencil (as the above example) but rotated it at 22.5deg (jumping from heart to heart). Notice how this pattern looks fuller than the last one? This is what happens when you decrease the turning interval for inking. This gorgeous sentiment is from the Heartfelt Notes stamp set.

I also added a stamped floral image from So Blessed on the inside of my card!

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration. Don’t forget to head to my video on YouTube and leave your comments there for a chance to win. Then click on the link in the video description for the next person in the hop.

If you get lost along the way, you can always head back to our host Emily’s blog for the full list of participants and all the details!
