Hi everyone! Ashley joins us today with a cute interactive slider card featuring products from our latest release! You can check out her step-by-step video tutorial over on our YouTube Channel!
She used Distress Oxide Inks for the background blending on the main panel. Antique Linen and Vintage Photo were blended for the sand; Faded Jeans, Blueprint Sketch and Tumbled Glass were blended for the water. She used a homemade stencil (vellum cut with a wavy border die on the top and bottom) to create the seabed and for masking purposes during blending.
I love the splatter of liquid shimmer and white paint for the added texture. Images from the The More We Get Together stamp set were stamped in black ink and coloured with Copic markers and die cut using their coordinating dies. I really love that she added a wavy slider channel into the card panel for the kitty-blow fish to swim across the ocean!
With this new backdrop die, she cut out an A2 size panel. She then ink blended a white card base using Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Inks. This made a beautiful rainbow hue for the background!
She added some cute images from the My BFF stamp set across the middle portion. I love how she left the bottom part of the card base totally white for a bold contrast. Her sentiment “Thank You For Being A Great Friend” was stamped on the green patterned paper.
Thank you so much Anja! I love this neat and simple card!
Hello friends! We have the cutest card by Ashley to share with you today!
Ashley used some products from our recent release for this card. First she die cut three pieces of light blue cardstock using the Classic Diamonds Backdrop die.
The three pieces were glued together with liquid glue for the extra depth. I love how she chose the same blue color for the card base to create a tone-on-tone look.
She combined images from the My BFF stamp set, cut them out with the coordinating dies, adhered them to the front of the card with foam squares for the added dimensions. The the “Tomorrow will be a good day” is also from the same stamp set sentiment from the same stamp set which was stamped in matching blue ink.
I love the idea of having one tree with just the branches and the other one grown flourished with leave clusters, to reflect the little sentiment!
Finally, she adhered gems with a small dab of liquid glue below each diamond cut-out in the card to get the dazzling sparkly look.
Thank you so much Ashley for sharing your card with us!

First up is Vera’s dreamy card! I love her soft- toned inked background. She used the Dots Meet Dashes Small Rectangle Overlays to cut out two small rectangles to house her cute little bunnies from the My BFF stamp set, together with the Cola & drink from the There’s No One Like You stamp set. The clouds and smiley rainbows are also from the My BFF stamp set. She kept her card relatively simple but it is super gorgeous!
Next is Davina’s delightful friendship card. I just love the bright rainbow color blending on this diamond backdrop. She layered it against a white card base which makes the diamond cut-outs really pop! The cute kids are from the new The Sweetest Truck stamp set. As you can see, with a bold backdrop like this one, you don’t really need to add too much in order to create a charming card!
Jo made a dazzling shaker card for us using this stand-alone die. These cute images and sentiment are from the Hot Mama stamp set. I love how she created a 2-layer backdrop. The little fish tails are just the ideal addition to this mermaid card! The sequins she used also match the color of her card seamlessly!

Dots Meet Dashes Large Rectangles Overlays – Stand-Alone DieDots Meet Dashes Small Rectangles Overlays – Stand-Alone Die
These two sets coordinate perfectly with each other. The largest rectangle from the Large Overlays is 5.5″ x 4.25″, which is the size of the standard A2 card. The largest rectangle from the Small Overlays is 5″ x 3.75″. Besides giving you the most unique boarder detailing for your cards, they can be used to create layerings, and frames with simple modifications. These are for sure essential must-have items in your craft room.
Now let’s see what our Creative Team has created for us with these dies!
First we have Anja’s Easter greeting card! Her neat and simple card really makes the beautiful boarder details stand out! She used 3 different dies from the 2 sets. For the base, she chose a flowery patterned paper. For the middle layer she used just white cardstock and for the top layer she ink blended the white cardstock with scattered straw and squeezed lemonade Distress Oxide Inks. This card looks so elegant! She also used images from the My BFF stamps and cut them out with the coordinating Penguin Perfect Cuts.
Ashley made for us a 2-layer card. Her chevron patterned paper was cut using the Dots Meets Dashes (large size) die to fit a standard-sized card base. A smaller die was used to cut out a white piece, and then an even smaller die was used with an embossing mat to produce an embossed rectangular dots-meets-dashes pattern, inset into the piece. Such a clever idea! The adorable seal and sentiment are from The More We Get Together stamp set.
I really love the embossing technique that she used for this card. Head over to our YouTube channel and check out her video tutorial!
Up next is Vera’s card. Not only she added a boarder detailing with the largest die cut, she also used of one of the smaller rectangle die to create two dots and dashes frames for her card by cutting out the two extra windows. The cute couple is from The Sweetest Truck stamp set and the rest of the images and sentiments are from the There’s No One Like You stamp set.
Then we have Davina’s card. I love her choice of the bold patterned papers. The beautifully inked circular die cut pieces were used as canvases for her images. I just love the composition of everything! All of the images and sentiment are from The More We Get Together stamp set.
