Sounding Joy stamp set and Coordinating Dies

Create a charming and harmonious scene featuring this adorable quartet + snowman playing the triangle! A selection of snow covered street furnitures help to create the most festive and peaceful atmosphere.

To showcase all of the adorable images from this stamp set, I used the Cinematic Shadow Box die to set the scene. I really love the layers and depth that you can achieve with this die. I ink blended Distress Oxides in Black Soot, Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, and Cracked Pistachio on my back panel. I added a spritz of water and splash of white paint for the added dimension.

All of the characters were colored using Copics, and I simply scattered the images onto the four tabs of my shadow box! For the music notes, I glued them onto pieces of acetate before adhering them to the tabs for a floating effect.

Abstract Blossom Stencils 360°

An abstract floral design like this one provides endless possibilities!  Perfect for any occasion, this stencil design is large enough for creating a 4 for 1 design with a 7 1/2” x 7 1/2” canvas.  You’ll be mesmerized by the stunning overlays with just a few turns of the stencil.

In this example, I used a 7 1/2″ canvas and rotated the stencil at 30° intervals. To ink blend, I used Spun Sugar and Tattered Rose Distress Oxides. After just two turns, this gorgeous floral design appeared! The stencil is made from transparent mylar which allows easy visualization throughout the inking process.

The dimension that this stencil gives is incredible considering the very little time needed to complete the ink blending! I cut my canvas into quarters and added sentiments from Heartfelt Notes and Words From the Heart Chapter 2 to complete my cards.

For my next card, I rotated my stencil at 15° intervals, creating even more overlays for my patterns.

For this duo, I cut my large canvas into halves, and then further cut each half into four equal panels. I then adhered them onto a slimline back panels cut from Cotton Candy cardstock. The sentiments were from the So Blessed stamp set.

Flurry Snowflakes Stencils 360°

A flurry snowflakes background is definitely one of the most festive and versatile background you can create for holiday cards!  This set comes with two 6” stencils which you can use separately or together.  Spin these stencils at different angles to create your favourite snowflake wreath!

These completed snowflake wreaths measure approximately 4″ in diameter.

Candice created for us a circular greeting card. She used both stencils together and rotated both at 60° intervals.

She kept a traditional snowflakes color palette and added a darker color back panel for a nice contrast. She also scattered gems of different designs to complete her card.

For my two examples, I went for more non-traditional color palettes. I used a few pastel toned Distressed Oxide for ink blending. I also used the same angle of rotation as per Candice’s card. I used a circle die on my design, and then cut out a slightly larger circle on Vintage Beetle Cardstock to create a circular negative space.

For my last card, I went with a shaker design in which I simply used acetate as my shaker pocket. This time I chose Shaded Lilac and Spun Sugar for ink blending. The stamped image in the middle is from Magical Christmas Sentiments.

Our New Release includes 5 new stamp sets & coordinating dies, 6 new sets of circular stencils from our Stencils 360° collection and 5 new stand-alone dies. I’m sure there’s something you’ll love so let’s jump right in! Today is the showcase of Greetings From Santa & its coordinating dies, A Better Place (Save the Earth) stamp set & coordinating dies, and the Woodland Scene Builder Layered Dies.

Greetings From Santa

Smile! Santa’s coming to town! This 4” x 4” clear stamp set is THE perfect option for everyone on your holiday card list! Let this adorable couple bring your loved ones the warmest holiday wishes!

I ink blended this background using Distress Oxides in Black Soot, Pine Needles and Cracked Pistachio for an aurora palette.

I splattered some white ink for the added visual interest. I used the Fairyland Alphabet Dies on Santa Heavyweight Premium Cardstock to spell out my sentiment Merry X’Mas. My image was Copic colored and adhered to my panel with foam tape. To finished off I added some white gems to compliment the flurry backdrop.

For the second card I went for a totally different vibe. For the background I used some iridescent glitter gel on the Crystal Snowflakes Stencil.

I wanted to create a peaceful monotone so I colored my image in greyscale. I then white heat embossed sentiments on Grand Piano using sentiments from Magical Christmas Sentiments and adhere three of them onto the panel in a playful configuration.

A Better Place (Save the Earth) and Woodland Scene Builder Layered Dies

You can make a difference! Spread the importance of planting a tree by giving a handmade card! This whimsical stamp set is the perfect way to spread this very important message of saving the environment and loving our planet earth! This set coordinates with the Woodland Scene Builder layered die set. This specially designed layered dies also makes THE perfect background for all your adorable woodland creature stamps!

To set the scene I used the 3 dies on different colored cardstocks namely the Grand Piano, Hot Fudge, Apple Green and Christmas Tree. They layered together flawlessly to give wonderful dimension for the card.

For more details, I blended some Distress Oxides and added paint splatters on some of the pieces.

I then Copic colored the image and adhered it on the top. I also stamped out a heart warming sentiment “You Make the World a Better Place” on the inside to complete my card.

I hope you enjoyed today’s showcases and inspirations. Leave a comment below before you go and let me know which is your favorite card! Be sure to come back tomorrow for more Product Previews and Giveaways!

A Magical Creation with Guest Designer Ilda!

Hello friends! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Let’s hop right in to our inspiration for today. We’re super excited to have Ilda Dias guest designing for us!

Her card features the latest Fancy Gift Bow Stencils 360°. She ink blended three different pastel colors on one of the 8” stencil from this set and rotated it at 30deg intervals (jumping from circle to circle) to create this dreamy background! So beautiful!

She then used the 6” stencil and apply iridescent glitter gel over it to create this icy frozen fractal look!

She added a white heat embossed sentiment from So Blessed stamp set that was die cut with its coordinating dies. She also finished her card with some matching iridescent gems!

This card certainly reminds me of the movie Frozen, Christmas and Snowflakes!

Thank you so much for your beautiful inspiration Ilda!

Thanks for stopping by everyone, have a great rest of the week!

25 Days of Christmas Tags!

Hello and welcome back to our blog! Today we are super excited to participate in Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event for the very first time! Be sure to visit Tracey’s blog In My Creative Opinion for wonderful Christmas tag inspiration from our Penguin Palace Creative Team!

Today I’ve created for you a pair of X’mas tags with products from our earlier releases.

I first die cut two tags with our Snow White – Heavy Weight Premium Cardstock. It’s a bit hard to see from the photos but this unique cardstock has subtle watermarks in shapes of little raindrops.

Then I spread some Gina K Glitz Gel in Red Velvet and Turquoise Sea on the Crystal Snowflakes – Penguin Perfect Patterns 6″ stencil to give each of the tags the shimmery snowflakes.

All of the adorable images are from the Cuddly Sheep’s Season’s Greetings stamp set. These images were stamped in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink, colored with Copics and die cut using the coordinating Penguin Perfect Cuts.

Then I added two sentiments from the same stamp set. I stamped “Season’s Greetings” using Simon Hurley’s dye ink Remember Me, and “Happy Holidays” in Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide Ink. I thought these colors went well with the backgrounds.

To complete the tags, I used some matching colors trimming and added some sparkly gems!

I hope you enjoy today’s little project.

Don’t forget to visit Tracey’s blog today for lots more beautiful tag inspiration! Thank you so much Tracey for another fun 25 Days of Christmas Tags event!
