Sending Positive Vibes

Hope you’re having a great week so far! Today we have a refreshing inspiration from Mimi!

I love this fun background Mimi’s created using Damask Stencils 360°™. Using Barrel A at 45 turning intervals, she ink blended with Distress Oxide Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles while masking the lower portions of the stencil patterns.

After the full rotation, she cleaned the stencil and masked the area that she just ink blended. Then she continue ink blending the rest of the stencil pattern with Distress Oxide Mustard Seed and Brushed Corduroy.

She added some random floral details using Sakura Fubuki Stencils 360°™ Barrel B with Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry, and finished her card with a stamp image from Everyday Sentiments clear stamp set.

I love how her card gives the Hawaiian tropical vibes!

Thank you so much Mimi for your lovely inspiration!

Graduation Greeting Inspiration With Mimi

Hi friends! Graduation season is here and we have just the perfect handmade greeting card inspiration you need!

Mimi chose the adorable piggy from Celebration – Digital Stamp, combined it with the graduation hat and the ‘congratulations’ sentiment from To A New Beginning – Digital Stamp, printed them all on 80lb. white cardstock.

The great thing about digital stamps is they you can easily mix & match and scale them to your liking!

She die cut her panel using the large die from Dots Meet Dashes Large Rectangles Overlays – Stand-Alone Die. She also stamped out the large and bold sentiment, ‘You Got This’, from Everyday Sentiments using Distress Oxides in Kitsch Flamingo, Wild Honey, Salvaged Patina. She die cut two layers using its coordinating Penguin Perfect Cuts and stacked them for the added dimension.

I love the trios of sequins and the ink blended back panel in coordinating colors to finish off her card!

A big CONGRATULATIONS to those who are graduating, and if you know someone who is, why not make them a card and put a smile on their face! Thanks so much Mimi, your card is so adorable!

A Thoughtful Encouragement Card with Samantha

Hi Friends! We’re super excited to have Samantha Pfrimmer Guest Designing for us today!

She wanted her card to be a one-layer card so she first started her scene by stamping out the images from Rock Climbing onto masking paper and fussy cutting each image along the black lines.   Starting a one layer card by first making masks makes it easier to arrange your images when designing your layout before stamping!

Once the masks were finished, she grabbed an A2-sized panel of Copic Xpress It cardstock and stamped out her scene.  She first stamped out the foreground images, applied the masks, and then stamped the background images before masking the whole scene.

She also wanted to create a hand drawn frame around her design so using masking tape, she created a border around her stamped images and then carefully hand drew a border along the masking tape using a black fine-liner pen.

Since this was to be an encouragement card, she wanted to show the featured rock climber image leaving a space that was all grayscale and moving into a place of full color.   To do this, she used a sunray stencil and ink blended using Distress Oxide inks: Squeezed Lemonade, Dried Marigold, and Saltwater Taffy.   Once completed the ink blending, she removed the masks and moved onto coloring with Copic Markers.

She used her stencil as a guide and color the open areas first using bright colors.   Once the colorful portions were complete, she removed the stencil and finished the scene using warm grays.

To finish, she stamped a heart warming sentiment from the Rock Climbing set.

We hope this card will inspire you to play with color. Thanks for stopping by! Thanks so much Samantha for Guest Designing for us today!

Aloha - Damask Stencils 360

Aloha!

Hello friends! It’s been awhile since I had some time to sit in my craft room to create! I wanted to share this fun card I made yesterday featuring the Damask Stencils 360°™.

I used a 5″ x 5″ panel for my background. I rotated the Damask Stencils 360°™ at 22.5 degrees, inking on all the ‘hearts’ stops on my Stencils 360°™ Friends Ed. stenciling tool. I chose a bunch of vibrant rainbow colors to create an array of overlays.

I then stamped, copic colored a hula girl from Aloha Hawaii and die cut it with its coordinating dies. I add some foam tape to adhere it right in the center of the card. I thought this image coordinates so well with the background! I also stamped the sentiment ALOHA on Grand Piano using white pigment ink and then white heat embossed it.

I then adhere my panel onto a piece of 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of rainbow colored pattern paper just to bring out the bright rainbow hues even more!

Check out this Youtube Shorts to see how this card was made!

I hope you enjoy this inspiration! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Happy Mother’s Day to All Moms Out There

Mother’s Day doesn’t have to look picture-perfect. Whether it’s enjoying a cup of coffee with your mom at a quiet coffee shop, going for a walk, a joyful family celebration, or being physically far apart but keeping your mom in your heart, everyone has there own story and to me, there is definitely no right or wrong way to spend this special day.

However it is you’re spending Mother’s Day, you have the right to spend it in your own terms. Just remember that Mother’s Day will always be different for everyone. If you find this holiday an unbearable reminder of a painful past, you’re not alone. I hope you find strength on this Mother’s Day and consider sharing your feeling and thoughts to those who are there to support you.

To my mom, you are my rock and you’ve taught me so much. I love you with all my heart. Happy Mother’s Day!
