Chinese New Year 2025

Wishing You a Prosperous Chinese New Year

Wish everyone is having a fantastic start to the year! Today marks Chinese New Year’s Eve, and Mimi is sharing her beautiful CNY-themed greeting card, wishing all of us great fortune!

She created the stunning background using the Peacock Accent Stencils 360°™, which adds such an energetic vibe! Then, she added adorable images from the Year of the Dragon stamp set. The Chinese character “fu” heat embossed in red, which stands for ‘fortune’ or ‘good luck,’ completes the design perfectly!

Don’t forget, we’ve got tons of cute and versatile stamps now ON SALE inside the Penguin Palace Vault—up to 70% off! It’s the perfect time to stock up, as most of these stamps won’t be restocked once they’re gone.

Wishing everyone a prosperous Year of the Snake!

A Dragon Dance Themed Card With Samantha!

Hi Friends! We’re thrilled to have Samantha Pfrimmer Guest Designing for us today!

Her card features the Year of the Dragon Clear Stamps  and the Year of the Dragon Penguin Perfect Cuts.

She stamped her images onto Copic Xpress-it cardstock in black ink before coloring them with Copic markers.  I love the gold, red and green color combo, very festive!

She ink-blended a dark sky using the Black Soot, leaving a small area where she blended Squeezed Lemonade with the Black Soot to create a soft glow where the pagoda image would be placed.

I love the brick path she stenciled onto the background which flows nicely with the placement of the image of the dragon & the boys.

I also love how she added origami paper to tie everything together! It really gives an oriental touch to the card!

Thank you so much Samantha for Guest Designing for us today, your card is super adorable!

Bubble Bath Digital Stamp Cricut Joy Extra Print then Cut

The Final Inspiration of the Year 2023!

Hello friends! As we wrap up this amazing year, I’d like to thank all of you for your support and your love for Penguin Palace!

I know we haven’t had too many releases launched in the past year however I am grateful that we have our wonderful and loyal customers who love our products! This year we were a part of two very successful card making summits and we also launched our collection of Digital Stamps! As our last inspiration for the year, I’d like to share with you a card I made featuring one of the Digi stamps in the shop, Bubble Bath!

Last month I also took the plunge and bought my very first Cricut machine, the Cricut Joy Xtra which I’m really excited about! Today I am sharing a video which shows you every step that I took from unboxing my new Cricut Joy Xtra to setting up the machine, calibration, and trying out the print then cut function on some digital stamps! It includes MUST-SEE TIPS, and MISTAKES that I made as a complete newbie to a cricut machine!

I just love this adorable little puppy!! For my background I use the Cyber Wallpaper stencil and ink blended with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide. I also added a 1/4″ border using a holographic cardstock panel.

Check out my video below or head over to our Youtube Channel to watch! Please leave me a comment as I’d love to learn more about this new machine!

Finally I want to wish all of you a Happy, Healthy and Properous NEW YEAR!

A Calm Silhouette Scene With Candice!

Hi everyone, hope you’re having a wonderful weekend! There’s still time to join our card challenge #27 – Sea Moodboard. Today Candice is back to share her card inspired by this month’s challenge!

I love her ink blended background with Distress Oxide inks in colors inspired by this month’s palette (Villainous Potion, Seedless Preserves, Blueprint Sketch, Peacock Feathers,Speckled Egg).

She stamped out the balloons from Life Is A Carnival and colored them with a black pigment marker.

From black cardstock, she diecut the two building skylines from the Outdoor Ice Rink Scene Builder set and adhered them to the bottom of her card.

She finished her card with a white heat embossed sentiment from We Are Right for Each Other and using a mix of white colored pencil and gelly roll for the highlights. I love the pop of colors from the scattered sequins!

This month’s challenge runs until July 30th at 11:59 PDT. We’ll select a winner to receive a $25 CAD gift certificate to ppstamps.com from challenge #27 and #28 which will be announced on September 1st at the beginning of challenge #29!

Don’t forget to link up your project over at our Challenge Blog, and if you’re sharing to social media use the hashtag #penguinpalaceprojects! We’d also love for you to share your projects in the challenge album in our Penguin Palace Facebook group!
