Spring 2021 New Release - Slimline Pull Tab card

Spring 2021 New Release – Sneak Peek Day 4

Spring 2021 New Release Schedule

Hi crafty friends! I’m really excited about today’s Sneak Peeks because today’s card is made with some of my favourite products in this release! As I promised, you’ll see brand new clear stamps that have the “Around the World” theme, and today’s stamp set is themed around….Egypt! Isn’t that the coolest?!

I made this slimline pull tab interactive card using a new stand-alone die set from our release. This set has four different lengths of slit die cuts which you can choose to cut out tracks to form your moving mechanism. Here I wanted the camel to stroll along the desert! This set also includes two slimline rectangle stackables with simple dotted borders that is ideal for all different types of greeting cards!

See the desert landscape and the three dimensional sand dunes background? This was created using the Desert Scene Builder Dies + Stencil (2 in 1) set. This new set gives you the tools for making beautiful and unique landscapes, especially on slimline cards. Stay tuned for our step-by-step tutorial over on our YouTube Channel.

I’d love to know what you think about this card. Leave me a message down below. Be sure to come back tomorrow for more!

Happy crafting everyone!

Spring 2021 New Release Sneak Peek Day 3

Spring 2021 New Release – Sneak Peek Day 3

Spring 2021 New Release Schedule

Hello crafty friends! Welcome to Day 3 of Sneak Peeks on our upcoming release! As a papercrafter, I like to try creating different styles of cards. I definitely love making cute and whimsical cards; nonetheless, I also love to create floral cards that have a more classic or elegant look. At least that was my goal for today’s sneak peek ^.^!

As I mentioned, this release has something for EVERYONE! If you adore floral cards, be sure to check out this new circular stencil, Spring Blooms Stencils 360°TM. If you haven’t tried our new tool yet, now’s the time! You’ll find that this tool is super easy to use, and it is also fun and additive!

Take this stencil for a spin, and you will be able to create a colorful floral background in just a few minutes, without the need for masking/tracing. The design of this stencil is clean, simple, and would definitely make a great card for any occasion!

I chose a pastel palette for my card. I blended a combination of Shaded Lilac, Twisted Citron, Spun Sugar, Squeezed Lemonade, Pumice Stone and Cracked Pistachio on every turn. After just 5 turns of 60° (ie. jumping from solid circle to solid circle on the Base), the background was complete!

I used ‘Crown Me’ dye ink by Simon Hurley Create to stamp out the image “THANK YOU”, which is from our Heartfelt Notes stamp set. For a final touch of detail, I thought a lacy border would compliment the background of this card. What’s your take on it?

I hope you enjoyed today’s sneak peek. Be sure to come back tomorrow for more!

Spring 2021 New Release – Sneak Peek Day 2

Hello crafty friends! We’re thrilled to continue on with our Spring 2021 New Release Sneak Peeks! Today I have for you a super fun interactive card. This card features a new addition to our Stand-Alone dies collection and it’s super easy to make!

The greatest thing about this set of dies is that it creates a pop-up card that folds flat and fits into a 6″ x 6″ square envelope for mailing! It is also super fun to do! This die set comes with a polaroid frame which pops up as you twist on one side of the card base (you’ll see this card in action in the step-by-step video on our YouTube Channel next week ^ . ^).

You can easily decorate both sides of the card with the picture frames and images as I have done here, add the stitched covering panels, include a couple of sentiment tabs and voilà! The cute images you see on this card are from our new stamp set, Aloha Hawaii! This set is super adorable with punny sentiments that you can use for various occasions!

Another great thing about this die set is that you can switch out the polaroid frame as the pop-up element for another, such as your favourite die-cut critter, or a 2-tier birthday cake (which will also be part of the new release by the way), to create different pop-up surprises!

I hope you enjoyed today’s Sneak Peek. Don’t forget that Reveal & Inspiration Chapter begins on 22nd Mar (next Monday). We’ll have wonderful inspirations featuring our new release from our Creative team, and of course, Giveaways – so stay with us!

Spring 2021 New Release – Sneak Peek Day 1

Hello everyone! It’s Sharon here from Penguin Palace! I’m super excited to announce that our Spring 2021 New Release is just around the corner!  We have something fun for EVERYONE in this release! New products range from cute and adorable stamps, to refreshing stand-alone dies, to new additions to our exclusive collection of circular stencils which some of you have been enjoy playing with! If you haven’t got your hands on our Stencils 360° tool yet, now’s the time!

The theme of our new stamp sets in this release is “Around the World”! We are starting this whole new collection that will take you to different destinations around the globe!

For today’s Sneak Peek, I made a wide shadow box card using a few of our new products. If you look closely, you’ll notice that this stamp set is themed around Canada (where we’re from)! These cute images are from a set named Bond With Nature – Canada.

To house these adorable images, I took the Cinematic Shadow Box die. This new stand-alone die set forms a card that measures 6 1/2″ wide x 3 3 /4″ tall by 2″ in depth, and you can include as much as 4 layers of insert tabs!

With this wide space, you can create much bigger 3-dimensional scenes than before! The best thing is that it lays flat for mailing and fits into a slimline envelope!

Do you see the stitched rocky mountains at the back of the card? These were created using the Mountain Landscape Scene Builder Dies + Stencil set! This new 2 in 1 set allows you to easily create beautiful landscapes. I’ll explain much more about this set during our Reveal & Inspiration Chapter, so stay tuned!

The blue pallete cardstocks in this card are also from our new release. These are all 100 lb. heavyweight cardstock, and are just a few among the new and refreshing colors that we’ll be launching next week!

I hope you enjoy today’s sneak peek. Stick around as Sneak Peeks continue to the 21st Mar, followed by our Reveal & Inspiration Chapter + Giveaways which starts on 22nd Mar (next Monday)!  We’ll have beautiful and inspiring sample projects from our talented Creative Team + prizes to win! So don’t go anywhere!

Thanks for dropping by, have a wonderful day!

3rd International Women’s Day Hop

Hello everyone! Women are the embodiment of love, strength and courage, and I’m super excited today to be a part of the 3rd International Women’s Day Hop!

I’m pleased to say that Penguin Palace, among many others are sponsoring this year’s hop. The first stop of the hop starts HERE, please head over to check-out the full hop list where you will find lots of wonderful inspirations from many talented artists, AND for a chance to win!

For this hop, I made a very feminine card. This colorful background was created using The Floral Wreath on our Stencils 360°TM tool, at a turning interval of 45°.

I ink blended a combination of Distress Oxide Inks including Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers, Bundled Sage, Cracked Pistachio, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron and Wilted Violet. There was no masking needed to apply these different colors to the different elements on this stencil, and that is the advantage of using the Stencils 360°TM tool! And, there was no cleaning of the stencil in between inking!

To give the card a little bit more interest, I used the scalloped die from the Words From The Heart (Chapters 1 & 2) – Coordinating Penguin Perfect Cuts on kraft cardstock and adhere that to the centre of my card. Then I took a piece of Elegant Backwash – Premium Fine Paper and wrap it around my card to form a sleeve.

I then cut another piece of kraft cardstock to house my sentiment. To match the theme of the hop, I chose the following scripty sentiment from the Words From The Heart (Chapter 2) stamp set:

“To the world you are a mother, but to your family you are the world”

As a new mom to my first born who just turned two years old, this sentiment really warms my heart. Like some of you, I’m now a Stay-at-Home mom since I quit my job about a year ago. I’m pretty sure we share and face some of the same challenges day in, day out; yet we choose this path, as we want to spend more time with our loved ones. And I’m so glad I did it, as no matter how frustrating it gets, there’s always a moment where I think to myself that all of the hard work is more than worth it…like the moment when my son smiles and says “I love you mommy” 🙂

I hope you enjoy the above inspiration! And I hope all of us crafters will continue to be kind, positive, humble, and always support and encourage each other as we take a step forward towards women empowerment!

Thank you for stopping by, don’t forget to click HERE to see the full hop list and play along for a chance to win!
